First Look at Alternative Designs

The team began looking at some potential designs for the Sea Bright-Rumson Bridge. After some time spent brainstorming, they have decided to investigate the options of either building a new bridge to the south of the existing bridge that will promote much more pedestrian access to Sea Bright via the bridge while maintaining vehicle access (Figure 1), turning the existing bridge into a pedestrian access only bridge and creating a vehicle detour to one of the other two existing bridges (Figure 2), or removing the bridge altogether (Figure 3). Further investigation must be done before the team finalizes their ideas.
